Understand Your Body Beyond the Scale
Get a detailed assessment of your muscle mass, body fat and body water with a quick, non-invasive InBody 380 body composition analysis.
Learn MoreMore Information Than a Standard Scale
Your weight is only one part of your health. Two people can have the same weight while having very different amounts of muscle and body fat.
The InBody 380 uses bioelectrical impedance analysis to estimate the different components that make up your body. A small electrical current travels through contact points on your hands and feet during the assessment.
The process is painless, non-invasive and completed right in our clinic. You will not feel the electrical current.

Frequently Asked Questions
How long does the assessment take?
The measurement itself takes approximately 30 seconds. Please allow additional time for preparation and review of your results.
Is the assessment painful?
No. You will not feel the low-level electrical current used during the assessment.
Do I need to remove my clothing?
No. You can remain in your regular clothing, although light clothing is recommended. Shoes and socks must be removed.
Can I eat before the assessment?
For more consistent results, avoid eating for approximately three hours beforehand unless your healthcare provider gives you different instructions.
Can I exercise before the assessment?
Avoid exercising immediately beforehand because physical activity can temporarily affect fluid distribution and your results.
Can I be tested if I have a pacemaker?
Speak with the clinic team before proceeding if you have a pacemaker, implanted defibrillator or another implanted electronic medical device.
Is the InBody 380 the same as a DEXA scan?
No. The InBody 380 uses bioelectrical impedance analysis, while DEXA uses low-dose X-rays. They are different forms of assessment.
Will the results diagnose a medical condition?
No. Your results are one source of health information and should be interpreted alongside your medical history, examination and other relevant tests.
How often should I repeat the assessment?
The appropriate schedule depends on your goals and treatment plan. Your healthcare provider can recommend how frequently you should return.
