Kimberly Ransom is a Registered Nurse (RN) and Certified Diabetes Educator (CDE) with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) and a Master of Public Health (MPH), with diverse clinical experience in Australia and Canada.
She feels privileged to work alongside an exceptional team supporting individuals living with diabetes and is committed to empowering patients with the knowledge, confidence, and practical tools they need to take an active role in their health.
She hopes every person who visits Unity feels genuinely heard, compassionately supported, and hopeful as they work toward their health goals.
Adesh Korada is a medical graduate from UON currently working at Unity Healthcare. He is pursuing residency training while continuing to build his clinical experience and providing compassionate, patient-centred care.

Muhammad Awais Atif is a medical graduate from a WHO-accredited program at Kazan State Medical University. He completed his high school education in Richmond, BC and has a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Simon Fraser University.
He is also a Licentiate of the Medical Council of Canada and a licensed Clinical Observer with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of BC. He hopes to complete a residency program in BC and practice independently as a physician.
Fluent in English, Urdu, Hindi, Punjabi, and Russian, he is committed to supporting accessible, patient-centred care for BC’s diverse communities.
Simrandeep Kaur Manj is a medical graduate from University College Dublin where she graduated with honours. Originally from Surrey, BC, she began the BSc program at UBC before pursuing medicine in Ireland. During her medical training, she gained experience in Internal Medicine, Surgery, Paediatrics, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Psychiatry, and General Practice.
She looks forward to completing her training in Canada and continuing to serve her community while establishing meaningful patient relationships.
Marilyn Sun is a clinical pharmacist and Certified Diabetes Educator (CDE), who is deeply passionate about providing compassionate, personalized care to diabetes and bone health patients.
She works closely with individuals to simplify medication therapy, optimize health outcomes, and navigate the complexities of insurance and drug coverage.
Her goal is to ensure every patient feels supported, empowered, and fully equipped to manage their health journey with confidence.

Olya Voikin, RD, CBE, is a Registered Dietitian with over 14 years of experience and a Certified Bariatric Educator. A UBC Dietetics graduate, she provides evidence-based, personalized nutrition care, specializing in weight management, heart health, digestive health, and chronic disease management.
Olya is passionate about empowering clients to make sustainable, informed choices that support their long-term health and well-being.
Cris Gochan is a Medical Laboratory Assistant and American-certified Phlebotomy Technician, currently pursuing his LPN education.
He has clinical experience in blood collection, ECG testing, and pre- and post-analytical laboratory processes.
Cris is committed to providing accurate, compassionate patient care and creating a comfortable experience for every patient.
Our research team coordinates clinical trials and supports every stage of study participation, from screening and informed consent to study visits, regulatory activities, data collection, and ongoing participant care.
Avi Virk Sohal is a Clinical Research Coordinator and Health Sciences graduate with a strong interest in clinical and biomedical research.
During her undergraduate studies, she conducted research involving CRISPR gene editing in C. elegans, gaining experience in genetics and molecular biology.
She now works in clinical research, coordinating clinical trials and supporting study implementation, regulatory activities, and participant care. Her research interests include genetics, chronic disease, and advancing evidence-based healthcare.
Hussein Mamdani is a Clinical Research Coordinator with extensive experience supporting participant-focused studies across healthcare and academic settings.
His work spans participant recruitment, informed consent, data collection, regulatory documentation, ethics submissions, and study coordination.
He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Health Sciences from Simon Fraser University, with a minor in Medical Anthropology and a certificate in Health Ethics.
Sonal Kakarmath is a Clinical Research Coordinator at Unity Healthcare with a strong background in healthcare and a passion for advancing patient care through research.
She is dedicated to supporting meaningful clinical research that contributes to improved treatments and makes a positive difference in patients’ lives.
Narmeen Tariq, PharmD, ACRP-CP, is a Clinical Research Coordinator with a background in pharmacy and over four years of experience in clinical research.
She has supported Phase II–III clinical trials across therapeutic areas including oncology, infectious diseases, autoimmune diseases, cardiology, and endocrinology.
Her experience includes clinical coordination, data collection, regulatory documentation, and collaboration with investigators and healthcare teams.
Narmeen is committed to maintaining high standards of participant safety, data integrity, and quality throughout the research process.
Simer Bains is a Biology student at the University of British Columbia with a strong interest in medicine, clinical research, and patient care. He has experience supporting clinical research initiatives at Unity Healthcare, where he assists with patient recruitment, data management, and research-related projects in endocrinology, diabetes, obesity, and metabolic health.
